Michał Pietkiewicz
Advocate, PhD in law

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UWM. Having been granted a degree of MA, he started doctoral studies at the same faculty. He completed the studies jointly with the defence of his doctoral dissertation and was awarded an academic degree – PhD in Law. He is also an author of several thematic articles and a set of press publications devoted to law.
Michał Pietkiewicz completed his bar training at District Bar Council in Olsztyn and since 2010 he has been its member. He gained experience and practical knowledge in Michał Kalit’s law firm located in Olsztyn, and when working for an official receiver.
Simultaneously, he has been repeatedly appointed by the District Court in Elbląg a guardian responsible for bankruptcy proceedings.
In addition he graduated the post-graduate studies in the following fields:
- education for teachers,
- administration of education,
- legal aspects of construction investments.
Michał Pietkiewicz has also a long-standing teaching experience. He has been lecturing at the UWM in Olsztyn as a doctoral student since 2007. He is also a lecturer at Continuing Education Centre in Działdowo.
He is an academic lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UWM in Olsztyn – employed as an assistant professor and in 2013 he was a visiting scholar at St. John's University in New York.
Since he became a MA, he has been conducting a set of trainings devoted to law for companies/ institutions, including the following:
- „Easy access to justice” – under the project ordered by the Department of Justice – he has trained nearly 1500 persons.
- „Preparatory service in civil service” – training conducted for the Department of Administration and Digitization.
- „Law in practice” – training conducted for Local Education Authority
- “Investing in personnel” – training for intermediate government in Białystok preparing for appointed civil servant examination.
-and also a set of other trainings designed for local entities
In March 2014 he was appointed by Voivodship Governor as a member of Warmia and Mazury Commission for Adjudication of Medical Events - in which he acts as the Vice-President.
